Safeguarding Policy
 

JHCClivingthedream Ltd – Football Tours
 

 

1. Policy Statement

JHCClivingthedream.com is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

We expect all staff, partners, and group leaders to share this commitment.

 

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All football tours

  • Junior teams, senior teams and school groups

  • All staff, volunteers, and group leaders

 

3. Responsibilities

JHCClivingthedream Ltd will:

  • Ensure suppliers (hotels, transport, coaches) are reputable and safe

  • Provide clear communication regarding safeguarding expectations

  • Respond appropriately to any safeguarding concerns

 

Group Leaders / Schools / Clubs must:

  • Maintain appropriate supervision ratios

  • Be responsible for safeguarding at all times

  • Ensure DBS-checked staff where required

 

4. Supervision Ratios

Recommended minimum ratios:

  • Under 12: 1 adult per 8 children

  • 12–18: 1 adult per 10–12 children

 

5. Code of Conduct

All participants must:

  • Treat others with respect

  • Follow instructions from staff and coaches

  • Avoid dangerous or inappropriate behaviour

 

6. Accommodation Safety

  • Room allocations must be age-appropriate

  • Adults and children should not share rooms unless appropriate (e.g. parent/child)

  • Curfews must be enforced

 

7. Transport Safety

  • Seatbelts must be worn where available

  • Group leaders must supervise at all times

  • Headcounts must be conducted regularly

 

8. Medical and Emergency Procedures

  • Medical information must be collected before travel

  • First aid access must be available

  • Emergency contacts must be held for all participants

In an emergency:

  1. Seek immediate medical help

  2. Inform group leader

  3. Contact parents/guardians

  4. Notify JHCClivingthedream Ltd

 

9. Reporting Concerns

Any safeguarding concern must be reported immediately to:

  • Group Leader

  • JHCClivingthedream Ltd representative

All concerns will be taken seriously and recorded.

 

10. Photography and Media

  • Consent must be obtained before taking or sharing images of minors

  • Images must not be used inappropriately

 

11. Alcohol, Smoking, and Behaviour

  • Strictly prohibited for under 18s

  • Adults must act responsibly and set appropriate examples

 

12. Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or after any incident.
